Job Description

Microsoft’s United Nations and International Organizations team provides a unique opportunity to work in an international environment, build partnerships, and bring innovative solutions to global challenges. As part of this team you will work with the multilateral system on how technology can help solve global challenges, applying expertise, collaborating with partners, and driving multistakeholder action.   As a Senior Director, UN and International Affairs in New York, you will have a portfolio of work in our engagement with the United Nations and other International Organizations. You will be responsible for shaping the company’s engagement at events such as UNGA High-Level week, representing the company with external partners in International Organizations and with Diplomatic Missions, identifying and engaging with emerging policy issues, and advocating for the role of AI and Digital Technology to play a positive role for society and the economy. In particular, you would lead on engaging in discussions around the AI economy, including in how the benefits of AI can be diffused globally.  You will develop and implement strategies to engage policy makers, and establish partnerships with stakeholders from governments, civil society and the private sector. You will work collaboratively with teams from across Microsoft, facilitating others in their engagement, and delivering a real contribution to the global agenda. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or related field AND 5+ years experience in government affairs, corporate affairs, public policy, or government. OR 8+ years experience in government affairs, corporate affairs, public policy, or government. (degree)
  • Experience in Government or in a Government Affairs environment with officials and other international stakeholders (government authorities, civil society, academia and the private sector). (degree)
  • 8+ years experience in developing and managing strategic relationships to advocate and influence public/technology policy priorities. (degree)
  • 4+ years people management experience. (degree)

Travel Requirements

4 days / week in-office
