Join Datadog as a Mid-Market Sales Engineer (Spanish-speaking) in Amsterdam or Dublin and become the technical backbone of our high-growth sales team. As a Sales Engineer, you'll partner with Account Executives to qualify opportunities, deliver stunning product demos, and close deals with mid-market customers across Europe.

This hybrid role combines the energy of our collaborative office culture with work-life harmony. You'll work directly with customers speaking Spanish, helping them understand how Datadog's observability platform breaks down silos in cloud-native environments. Key Responsibilities at Datadog

  • Partner closely with the sales team to articulate Datadog's overall value proposition, vision, and observability strategy to mid-market customers
  • Continuously learn emerging cloud technologies to build competitive knowledge, technical skills, and credibility in the DevOps ecosystem
  • Deliver high-impact product and technical presentations with confidence to potential clients and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain a direct line of communication with Datadog's product team to collaborate on feature requests driven by customer, competitor, and partner insights
  • Guide clients through product onboarding processes and provide hands-on assistance when they encounter implementation roadblocks
  • Think creatively to solve a wide variety of technical challenges throughout the pre-sales lifecycle, from discovery to POC success
  • Support technical evaluations and Proof of Concepts (POCs) demonstrating Datadog's superiority in cloud monitoring
  • Work cross-functionally to resolve customer concerns, escalate critical bug issues, and serve as a passionate Datadog brand ambassador

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with DevOps monitoring or architecture tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, etc.)
  • Proven comfort and confidence delivering technical presentations and demos to external customers or internal teams
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively about diverse technical challenges—you'll encounter new problems daily in cloud environments
  • Prior experience in systems administration: Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) or Windows Server management
  • Physical capability to sit up to 4 hours continuously and travel to client sites as needed
  • Willingness to travel via auto, train, or air up to 25% of the time across Europe
  • Fluent proficiency in written and spoken Spanish and English for customer communications
