PepsiCo is hiring a Licensed Millwright for the night shift (Monday-Friday, 11pm-7am) at its Frito Lay facility in Cambridge, Ontario. This full-time role offers a competitive wage of $50.37 per hour, plus shift premiums, in the fast-paced food manufacturing sector. As a Millwright, you will play a critical role in maintaining production and packaging equipment, minimizing downtime, and upholding safety and quality standards. In this position, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of maintenance tasks to keep PepsiCo's production lines running smoothly. Key duties include performing preventative and predictive maintenance to optimize equipment performance and reduce unplanned downtime. You will carry out daily maintenance tasks prioritizing safety, quality, and efficiency, while responding swiftly to emergency breakdowns with effective troubleshooting.
Collaboration is key: work alongside operators and other skilled trades to identify and mitigate downtime, safety risks, and quality issues. Support root cause analysis efforts and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring failures. Clear communication during shift handovers, team meetings, and work order documentation ensures seamless coordination. Demonstrate strong problem-solving in a dynamic setting, managing through high-pressure situations with a focus on reliability.
To succeed as a Millwright at PepsiCo, candidates must hold a valid Millwright (433A) license in Ontario— this is mandatory. A secondary trade license, such as Electrical or Welding, is highly valued and may qualify for additional compensation. Proficiency in using machine shop equipment and welding is essential, along with the physical capability to lift up to 50lbs.
PepsiCo seeks individuals with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and team-oriented mindset. A continuous improvement focus on safety, efficiency, and reliability is crucial. Solid communication skills and basic computer literacy for tasks like entering work orders and logging maintenance in CMMS are required.
