Position Summary
Sonoco seeks a skilled Moldsetter I for our 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm) in Portland, IN. Reporting to the maintenance engineer, you'll safely set aluminum molds into production presses. With an hourly rate of $22.10 plus $2.00 shift differential, this full-time role demands excellent attendance, teamwork, and a keen eye for production issues in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
As Moldsetter I, you'll:
- Collaborate with departments while upholding 5S standards
- Handle mold prep, installation, changes, and removal
- Prepare lines, fill guns, hoses, and run samples
- Inspect molds, report repairs, and perform minor fixes
- Operate presses, conduct routine maintenance, and use lift trucks
- Maintain safe, organized workspaces and assist other teams
- Support Sonoco’s quality, safety policies, with overtime as needed
Required Qualifications
