Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented Information Architect to shape our data landscape. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement and manage information systems, championing best practices, and leveraging advanced technologies to enhance our data architecture. What will you do in this role:

  • Utilize advanced knowledge of information architecture principles to establish and enforce standards and practices across various capability areas such as data collection, ontology creation, data mapping, data modeling, and taxonomies.
  • Apply technical and departmental knowledge to analyze the data landscape across the enterprise, assess the health and risks of the current state, and design projects that will enable our team to meet its goals.
  • Grow the capabilities of an enterprise data marketplace, including data cataloguing, data discovery, and data governance.
  • Mature company’s delivery and re-use of information assets, leveraging product management practices to offer “Data Products”
  • Contribute to a master data management strategy, including entity definition and ongoing sustainment.
  • Collaborate with information security, business, and IT stakeholders to implement an information access policy and rules of use.
  • Discover, recommend, and implement enhancements to the enterprise Data Management architecture.
  • Create and maintain Information Architecture deliverables and artifacts relevant for accountable architecture domain(s).
  • Develops and executes data-driven strategies to optimize business performance, aligning systems capabilities with strategic goals.
  • Defines, prioritizes, and manages data requirements, ensuring traceability and controlled changes in line with governance standards.
  • Present strategic data architecture solutions to executives, translating complex challenges into actionable insights and driving enterprise-wide data integration and governance decisions.
  • Stay current with Information technology trends and introduce these best practices to the company.

What Should you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree concentration in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience spanning IT disciplines including Data Modeling, Databases, Master Data Management, Business Process Modeling, and 5+ years in Information Architecture.
  • Proficiency in developing information usage/decision making use cases, information models, and quality assessments.
  • Expertise in analyzing, designing, and developing solutions based on current and future state solutions and reference architectures.
  • Knowledge of enterprise technology capabilities and how they can be reused to provide end-user and application development services.
  • Familiarity with information architecture frameworks, processes, and technology that provide insights to address critical data challenges.
  • Proficiency in data modeling tools (SAP Power Designer/ER Studio) and working knowledge of data management tools & related platforms (dbt, Matillion, Collibra, Immuta, Informatica MDM) for designing, governing, and optimizing data solutions.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms and data integration tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to foresee future needs and challenges.
  • Strong leadership skills including but not limited to strategic planning, entrepreneurship, innovation, and business savviness.
  • Proven track record in coaching and development, talent growth, and execution excellence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with AI/Data & Analytics functions, preferably in Life Sciences or similar regulated industries.
  • Prior experience in Data Product implementation at scale.
  • Advanced degree in a related field.
  • Certification in data management, TOGAF or other architecture-related credentials are a plus.
