THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven professional to join our team as the Managing Director (MD) for Romania. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our Romanian organization, driving growth, and contributing to the overall success of our company. Reporting to the PACE (Portugal and Central Europe) Cluster Lead and collaborating with the PACE Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our business in Romania.

Be a Strategy Architect

  • Lead a cross-functional market leadership team around strategic objectives that will deliver both short-term and long-term business outcomes aligned with local market and enterprise priorities.
  • Translate strategic priorities, aligned with regional and global strategies, into measurable actions and implementable outcomes, both in public and private segments.

Shape the Environment and be a Spokesperson

  • Effectively engage external stakeholders either directly or via industry or similar coalitions, to shape market environment to the benefit of our company or patients served.
  • Impactfully communicate on behalf of the company in external forums or via media.

Be a Reputational Stewart

  • Role model and uphold our company values and standards to ensure compliance across all functions and levels.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven leadership experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, preferably in a senior management capacity. Previous Managing Director experience is preferable.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a track record of driving growth and delivering results.
  • Experience in managing P&L responsibilities, forecasting, and resource planning.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage and build relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performance teams.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and make sound business decisions.
  • Proven experience in driving digital transformation and leveraging technology for business growth.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem and regulatory environment in Romania.
  • University degree from accredited university, preferably in Pharmacy, Medicine, Engineering, Economics, BA, Finance or similar.
  • An advanced degree in graduate studies (MA, MBA, or Bioscience or Medical Doctor) is a plus.
  • Fluency in English required, command of Romanian language is a plus.
