Vietnam Chief of Staff and PMO Lead

Position Objective

Ensure alignment to the core strategy and enable the fastest possible growth. You will play a strong supporting role to the Managing Director and to the local core leadership team, ensuring that country management are coordinated, understand their strategic objectives and have the knowledge, network, tools and capabilities to execute ahead of the market and competition.

This role is integral to helping the world meet new breakthroughs that affect generations to come, and we’re counting on your skills and inventiveness to help make meaningful contributions to global medical advancement.

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

Specific Roles and Responsibilities, but not limited to:

Leadership of Company Strategy Execution Partner & PMO

  • As the trusted partner of the Managing Director in setting strategic priorities,  identifying metrics for success and ensuring the execution and achievements of milestones throughout the year.

  • Coordination of Leadership Team's priorities in alignment with strategy; Facilitation of strategic planning process and development of strategy to ensure alignment with local, regional and global priorities and environment (e.g. aligned with New Strategic Framework)

  • Help leadership team lead by example in bolstering our collaborative, problem-solving, results oriented, fast moving, respectful, non-hierarchical team culture. Oversight of key projects and priorities emanating from strategy, and reporting locally to Managing Director / Leadership Team and to Region/others as required to ensure delivery and outcomes are achieved

  • Ensure that the Managing Director is adequately prepared for all internal and external engagements working with the relevant subject matter experts within the organization

  • Follow-up for all agreed actions with relevant leadership team and/or other team leaders and ensure all actions are completed in a timely and holistic manner. Escalate issues in a balanced and agile manner for resolution in alignment with organizational culture and values.

  • Vietnam leadership meetings ensure optimization of meetings and alignment of topics to key priorities. Ensure leadership team presentations are aligned with strategic direction of the meetings.

  • Managing the development of monthly/quarterly/annual performance reports/scorecard for the business’s leaders as well as facilitating cross-functional performance reviews for this leadership

  • Presentations developing appropriate visuals / media for town halls, plan process, sales meetings etc. Work closely with relevant functional teams including communications to ensure audience appropriate messaging.

  • Project management proactively identify and execute projects of strategic importance to the local market, oversee management & coordination of key initiatives/efforts which are often cross divisional/cross functional

  • Country Reviews/ leadership visits coordinate and participate in country reviews / visits with the Leadership Team. Ensure closure / follow ups / communication on relevant agreed actions

  • Work in partnership with Regional and/or Global colleagues on key projects (as relevant)

  • Ad hoc: HQ visits, and other engagements involving the MD & Act as a representative of the MD on working groups and task forces identified by the MD.

Facilitation of New Ways of Working

  • Work with global and regional teams, to help the company in evaluating, planning and implementing New Ways of Working, including provide recommendations for adoption of new work practices, to strengthening people & organization culture in partnership with HR & Leadership Team.

  • Identification and facilitation of team/other workshops to streamline and simplification of legacy processes, policies and other barriers that inhibit progress include the development of sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements. 

  • Leadership and role modelling behaviors as an agent of change; upskilling the organization in new ways of working.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE 

QUALIFICATION & SKILLS

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.

  • Management consulting experience is preferred (e.g., BCG, McKinsey, Bain, Accenture, EY).

  • Biopharmaceutical experience across diverse roles, including industry experience in marketing and asset launch experience.

  • Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities to develop and execute the organization's strategic plan.

  • Excellent analytical skills to conduct environmental scans, organizational positioning analyses, and other studies.

  • Proven experience in identifying, investigating, evaluating, and negotiating acquisitions/divestitures and strategic business alliances.

  • Solid understanding of the organization's business operations, strategic direction, and business environment.

  • Ability to coordinate input from all major business units to facilitate the integration of individual business unit plans with the corporate plan.

  • High business acumen distilling complex commercial problems, creating structured framing, assessments, and actionable recommendations in collaboration with commercial colleagues.

  • Strong ability to influence decision-making in a highly matrixed organization, demonstrating empathy, collaboration, and high emotional intelligence.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity, excelling in bringing cross-functional colleagues together leading high-priority initiatives.

  • Ability to prioritize time and problem solve to focus on most impactful initiatives.

  • Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written skills; ability to speak effectively with senior management and across all levels of the business.

  • Growth mindset, curiosity, high motivation, team-oriented, organized, and coachable.

Preferred

  • Master in Business Administration or PhD preferred.

  • Certifications (PMP, Lean Six Sigma)
