Job Description

The Senior Automation Technician position will work actively in a dynamic production dedicated maintenance team supporting the Plant Maintenance and Production departments.  In this role, you will focus on installation, modification, troubleshooting, removal, and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical components of critical production equipment.  Critical systems that are in scope for the team will include, but not be limited to Bosch/Syntegon sterile filling lines, Cozzoli Sterile filling lines, West/Genessis capping lines, Brenton robotic packaging lines, Weiler labeling systems and Blending tanks.  You will be seen as a driver of safety and compliance for activities on and around their scopes of service

Education Requirement:

  • High School Diploma with 6+ years' experience OR
  • Associate degree in Technical discipline such as Industrial Maintenance Technology with 3+ years' experience

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • Working knowledge and experience in a maintenance manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work independently, communicate status and deficiencies.
  • Maintain computerized records using current maintenance software.
  • Ability to interact with colleagues, customers, and vendors.
  • Interact and develop principled and positive working relationships with colleagues, customers, and vendors
  • Safety requirements are strongly enforced, requires you to be attentive to their own safety and the safety of others in the workplace.

Preferred:

  • Experience in electrical, PLC/Automation Controls highly preferred
  • Knowledge of freeze-drying products through lyophilization, and high-speed automation
  • Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5s
  • SAP and inventory control
  • AP (Electronic record-keeping system)
  • Electrical- Troubleshooting, repair, and installation of electrical equipment and systems | Working knowledge and experience in automation, vision systems, PLCs (programmable logic controls) and HMI (Human machine interfaces)
  • Mechanical | Repair and installation of pumps, gear drives, equipment, and preventative maintenance
  • Utilities | Power and physical plant maintenance of steam, compressed air, water, fuel, electrical, industrial gases
  • Packaging/Fill | Provide repair and maintenance of mechanized electrical and automated equipment

Shift: 2nd shift (3pm - 11:30pm, Monday - Friday)

The salary range for this role is:

$70,500 - $110,900

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
