 Specialist, HAM Release Specialist

Role Overview

The HAM Release Specialist is responsible for centralizing and strengthening delivery discipline across HAM-related ServiceNow enhancements. This role ensures predictable, high-quality releases by owning UAT script planning and maintenance, coordinating and improving regression testing, and standardizing monthly release notes communication. The position focuses on reducing production defects and hotfixes through rigorous testing practices, improving release predictability via clear scheduling, and enhancing stakeholder alignment throughout the release cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Release Planning & Communication
  • Establish and manage a release calendar for predictable delivery timelines.
  • Standardize and publish monthly release notes to communicate changes clearly to stakeholders.
  • Act as the central point of contact for all release-related inquiries and updates.

  • Standardize and publish monthly release notes to communicate changes clearly to stakeholders.

• Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Track and report on release readiness, testing outcomes, and defect metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance release processes and implement best practices.
• Release Management & Testing & Automation
  • Own and Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for ServiceNow enhancements.
  • Cooperate with development team to coordinate, improve and maintain regression testing automation within ServiceNow to ensure comprehensive coverage
  • Collaborate with development teams to validate test cases and ensure all test cases are updated and aligned with each new enhancement or release
  • Drive test standardization to minimize production defects and reduce hotfix frequency.
• Incident Management
  • Support conversion of incidents into demands or bug fixes.
  • Assist in demand collection and prioritization activities.
  • Assist calculate and validate demand value to support business decisions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Skills
  • ServiceNow Developer Knowledge with hands-on experience in platform configuration and scripting.
  • Understanding of Automate Pro for test automation.
• Analytical Skills
  • Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
• Additional Competencies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work within multiple priorities.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in ServiceNow testing and automation.
• Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and demand lifecycle.
• ITIL Certification preferable
