Job Description

The Position

We are looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager to own and evolve the Discover Marketplace platform, with a focus on advanced search capabilities (Search 2.0) and data product discovery. This role combines strong product management skills with a deep technical understanding of large language model (LLM) search, vector databases, metadata enrichment, and enterprise data governance. You will define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to enable a world-class data marketplace that delivers faster, more relevant, and context-aware search experiences to our global user community.

What will you do?

  • Own the product lifecycle for Discover Marketplace Search and related capabilities, from strategy through delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Define a clear product vision, roadmap, and success metrics aligned with enterprise data strategy and stakeholder needs.
  • Translate complex business requirements into actionable technical product specifications for engineering teams, including data ingestion pipelines, LLM enrichment agents, and hybrid (keyword + vector) search flows.
  • Collaborate with architecture, engineering, UX, and data governance teams to design solutions that leverage semantic search, taxonomy-driven metadata enrichment, and retrieval-augmented generation.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring maximum business value and alignment with Discover’s roadmap.
  • Lead continuous product discovery to understand user needs, uncover friction points, and translate findings into product enhancements.
  • Drive release planning and execution, including go-to-market strategy, enablement materials, and stakeholder communications.
  • Monitor and optimize total cost of ownership (TCO), balancing performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory requirements for enterprise data search solutions.
  • Use a metrics-driven approach to measure adoption, search relevance, and user satisfaction, adjusting strategy accordingly.
  • Serve as the primary bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clarity, transparency, and alignment on priorities.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of product management experience in enterprise data platforms, search systems, or AI/ML-powered products
  • Proven ability to work closely with technical teams on search architecture, LLM/vector database integration, and metadata-driven enrichment
  • Strong understanding of semantic search, natural language processing (NLP), and hybrid search models
  • Experience with enterprise data governance tools (e.g., Collibra), data cataloging, and metadata management
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and distributed data processing frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong analytical skills for assessing product performance, user engagement, and operational efficiency
  • Proficiency with agile methodologies, backlog prioritization, and release management

Nice to have

  • Experience in LLM model evaluation, vector search tuning, and embedding optimization
  • Familiarity with enterprise-scale search engines (OpenSearch, Elasticsearch) and vector stores (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus)
  • Background in retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and multi-modal search integration
  • Understanding of eVOC taxonomies and enterprise terminology management
  • Hands-on experience with data engineering pipelines, Airflow, and API integrations
  • Knowledge of enterprise compliance, data privacy, and security best practices
