Job Description

THIS ROLE WILL BE ONSITE 5 DAYS/WEEK AT OUR MILLSBORO, DE LOCATION WITH AFTER-HOUR RESPONSIBILITIES FOR BUILDING EMERGENCIES AND DATA CENTER REPAIRS, TESTING, AND MAINTENANCE.

Overview:

  • Supervises maintenance of the Bank’s real estate through assigned employees and/or contracted staff to provide a safe and efficient workplace and banking environment for our customers, employees and tenants.  Oversees maintenance activities in the Bank’s Real Estate portfolio, by ensuring a safe and efficient workplace and banking environment for employees, tenants and customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of Data Center systems (cooling/power), inspections and checklists and off-hour testing and repairs.
  • Supervise mechanics and oversee the daily operation, maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical systems, structural components and resolution of problems.
  • Assist Property Management with managing the bid process and overseeing capital and/or expense projects within regional assignment.
  • Assist management with long-range planning and administration of occupancy, operating and capital budgets within a given region.
  • Oversee and coordinate  maintenance activities of outsourced maintenance staff, janitorial/porter services and other contracted services and trades.
  • Oversee daily operation, maintenance and repair of mechanical systems and structural components.
  • Work with building occupants to coordinate repairs and minimize disruption to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Schedule and coordinate incoming service requests and work orders.
  • Exercise usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, performance management and terminations.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • The position is responsible for maintenance of property and the image it portrays. 

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

  • The jobholder is responsible for overseeing maintenance for assigned properties including oversight of contract personnel.

Education and Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or relevant vocational trade school and a minimum of 4 years’ property management experience
  • Prior leadership experience
  • Strong electrical and mechanical background
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and building trades
  • Knowledge of power tools and test equipment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with personal computers
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience reading blue prints and schematic drawings

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Ability to be on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week
  • Working knowledge of all codes and regulations

Physical Requirements:

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $43.34 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
