As a Senior Business Analyst you will help define and deliver solutions that provide business outcomes and will serve as a facilitator between the Transform Data Science Team (TDST) and Business Stakeholders. This role will create functional and non-functional product backlog items and user stories for descriptive analytics, predictive insights, AI/ML, and other digital solutions in the manufacturing industry. Key Responsibilities Agile Practice & Team Role Work in continuous delivery mode, analysing, testing, and delivering features iteratively Consistently demonstrate Agile processes and principles for effective delivery Consistently demonstrate Lean principles for efficient delivery Actively participate in team learning sessions and knowledge-sharing activities to build expertise in data science concepts, AI/ML methodologies, and emerging technologies Adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements in a dynamic manufacturing environment Requirement Elicitation & User Story Management Work with the team and Product Owner on defining the epic's detailed scope Responsible for creating, refining, and maintaining user stories and associated deliverables such as process flows and test cases to meet development and stakeholder needs Provide guidance and facilitate conversations as needed on sizing stories, choosing stories for sprints, splitting stories, and determining technical story details Work with the Product Owner and other BAs on the prioritisation of user stories in the product backlog Work with the Product Owner, BAs, and team members on defining acceptance criteria sufficiently for testing Work with the Product Owner to confirm that the delivered solution is in fulfillment of the stated requirements Work with business stakeholders to test user stories Guide the team to ensure a solid understanding of the ceremonies, expectations, deliverables, dependencies, and their role in the Agile development methodology Provide coaching in the discipline for junior resources Translate complex data science and AI/ML concepts into clear, actionable user stories that non-technical stakeholders can understand Proactively seek clarification and ask insightful questions to bridge knowledge gaps between technical teams and business stakeholders Stakeholder Engagement & Communication Build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders across manufacturing operations, IT, and business units Facilitate workshops and collaborative sessions to gather requirements in ambiguous or evolving problem spaces Communicate progress, risks, and impediments clearly and proactively to all levels of the organization Navigate complex organizational dynamics and competing priorities with diplomacy and professionalism Continuous Learning & Growth Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and initiative in learning about data science, machine learning, and advanced analytics concepts Seek feedback regularly and apply it to improve performance and deliverables Stay current with industry trends in manufacturing analytics, AI/ML applications, and Agile best practices Embrace challenges as learning opportunities and maintain a growth mindset in the face of complexity Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to deepen understanding of technical solutions and constraints
Key requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field Exposure to or foundational knowledge of data science concepts, statistical analysis, or machine learning principles Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst working on information technology projects Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst in an agile Business Intelligence project-based environment Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks and Agile tools; proficient with user stories, Scrum, Kanban, retrospectives, team planning, and other related Agile techniques Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; fluent in English (written and spoken) Proficiency in requirement gathering techniques, process modeling and documentation Experience interacting with cross-functional groups to support consensus outcome/decision Familiarity with project management methodologies and software development lifecycle Knowledge of relevant tools such as draw.io, JIRA, Confluence, etc. Experience moderating team dynamics and leading through influence Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and an understanding of facilitation techniques Experience in applying different techniques to optimize the team's effectiveness when developing in an agile framework (e.g., various burndown technologies, differing retrospective formats, sprint planning, handling bugs, etc.) Experience with removing blockers for teams and acting as a champion for a cross-functional team or department Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt quickly in technical environments Track record of successfully working in complex, matrixed organizations Highly Desirable Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) Understanding and experience with technologies such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, and Microsoft Power BI Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial operations environments Experienced in working with teams in multiple time zones Previous experience supporting analytics, AI/ML, or data science initiatives Familiarity with data visualisation principles and tools Growth Mindset: Eager to learn new concepts, particularly in data science and AI/ML, and comfortable operating outside your comfort zone Adaptability: Thrives in ambiguity and can pivot quickly as business needs and priorities evolve Intellectual Curiosity: Asks thoughtful questions and seeks to understand the "why" behind requirements and solutions Resilience: Maintains composure and productivity during challenging situations and setbacks Collaborative Spirit: Works effectively across diverse teams and actively contributes to a positive team culture Proactive Communication: Takes initiative to share information, raise concerns, and seek clarification before issues escalate Detail-Oriented with Systems Thinking: Balances attention to detail with understanding of the broader business context and system interdependencies Self-Awareness: Recognises personal knowledge gaps and actively seeks resources and mentorship to address them
