The National Account Director, Northeast, is a pivotal field-based role at Gilead Sciences, focusing on oncology market access in key accounts across Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island. This position involves building strategic relationships with integrated customers, such as major cancer centers and community oncology networks, to maximize product potential and patient access. Depending on qualifications, it may be leveled as Associate Key Account Director or Key Account Director. You'll lead cross-functional strategies, drive demand for Gilead's oncology portfolio, and collaborate with internal partners to execute compliant, high-impact account plans. This role offers the chance to shape oncology launches and protocols in a dynamic, high-control environment.
In this role, you'll take ownership of account strategies and execution. Key responsibilities include cultivating relationships with C-suite executives, Directors of Pharmacy, Oncology department heads, and P&T committee members. You'll develop comprehensive account profiles detailing protocols, pull-through targets, and key influencers. Leverage in-person tactics for regular visits to promote sales, manage contracts, and deliver clinical data on Gilead's oncology products. Act as the cross-functional lead, aligning Sales, Managed Markets, Medical, HEOR, Marketing, and more for unified launch planning. Ensure portfolio access by targeting decision-makers and supporting demand generation across your Northeast territory.
Lead the creation and execution of strategic account plans, coordinating with Regional Business Directors, Medical Leads, and Directors of National Accounts to optimize customer engagement.
Evaluate unique customer needs for oncology product launches, developing tactics to expand usage and secure favorable pathways and protocols.
To succeed, candidates need a Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience, a Master's with 10 years, or a PhD with 8 years in relevant fields. Preferred qualifications include previous account management or managed markets experience, 7+ years in oncology within the pharmaceutical industry (IV oncology strongly preferred), and an advanced degree like an MBA or PharmD.
