Content Protection Manager - EMEA

Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.The OpportunityWe are seeking a Manager of Content Protection to support Netflix’s global IP enforcement initiatives aimed at protecting the company’s world class content from piracy. The ideal candidate will have experience working on anti-piracy initiatives and be well versed in managing an effective notice and take down program, including experience working with content protection tools on social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. In this role, you will manage the takedown process through DMCA notices and other analogous legal routes, review materials for fair use, lead the localization of our content‑protection strategy, and serve as a subject‑matter expert to our cross‑functional partners. This role will play an important part in the team’s overall objective to minimize piracy’s impact on our growth. The ideal candidate will leverage intelligence gathered from enforcement actions and their subject‑matter expertise to help inform and optimize an effective content protection strategy. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Content Protection and is located in London. Job ResponsibilitiesWorking alongside the Global Content Protection team to protect local, regional and global content against piracy.Support localizing our broader industry enforcement & litigation efforts through intelligence and operationalization, including contributing to industry groups and partnering with the Global Affairs team on our enforcement strategy.Assist with investigations and enforcement escalations, such as those around content leaks, in partnership with the Content Security teams. Present our content protection strategy and insights to our partners, translating technical piracy data and metrics into clear, actionable guidance.Support and advance our strategy to build and maintain the legal toolkit that safeguards Netflix content.Monitor, track, and analyze piracy landscape data to inform internal evaluation and decision‑making.Liaising internally among policy, business and legal teams to develop improvements in knowledge sharing.Maintaining flexibility and openness to take on additional projects as necessary.Requirements4+ years experience in a global content protection program, ideally within a media or entertainment company.Knowledge of the global piracy landscape, as it relates to content protection, copyright and intermediary liability policy and legislation.Ability to communicate effectively in a concise and organized manner that ensures stakeholder alignment within the business.Ability to work proactively, independently, and reliably under tight time frames.Experience developing and operationalizing actionable intelligence to drive an enforcement strategy.Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates.
