About This Role
Lead a team of engineers developing and maintaining New Relic's infrastructure monitoring agents and integrations for cloud services like AWS and Azure. Drive engineering excellence, mentor talent, and collaborate across teams to deliver enterprise-ready observability products. Foster operational excellence while scaling to meet customer data demands in an AI-first world.
What You'll Do
- Lead and grow a team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining New Relic's platform instrumentation agents and integrations
- Coach and mentor engineers to develop their personal and professional abilities while keeping them engaged and motivated
- Drive technology decision making, process efficiency, and engineering excellence
- Ensure success of software projects through planning and execution within and across teams
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to align product and business goals
- Implement processes and methodologies that foster operational excellence
- Serve as domain expert in data governance, transparency, and accuracy for consumption-based business model
- Drive recruitment, training, and development of top-tier engineering talent
What We're Looking For
- 12+ years overall experience with minimum 3+ years leading engineering teams
- Strong experience in Software Engineering
- Proven track record as technology leader scaling strong technical teams
- Experience handling client incidents and understanding technical implications and risks
- Experience working on large-scale distributed systems, data processing, and APIs
- Hands-on experience with Java or other programming languages
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience with Observability tools
- Experience delivering products/solutions in Cloud environments
