About This Role

The Senior Account Executive - Enterprise Sales (West Japan) drives New Relic's observability platform sales to enterprise customers in the West Japan region. Responsibilities include prospecting, closing deals, upselling existing accounts, and collaborating with engineering teams. This role targets experienced SaaS sales professionals passionate about technology and business impact.

What You'll Do

  • Follow up on inbound and self-generated prospects to close deals
  • Identify new deal opportunities from existing customers and drive upsell
  • Continuously improve the sales process
  • Execute other related tasks as determined by the company
  • Collaborate with engineers in pre-sales activities
  • Manage multiple accounts across various industries

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of direct sales experience
  • 2+ years of SaaS sales experience preferred
  • Challenger sales skills with proactive proposals to customers and internal teams (no route sales)
  • Experience managing dozens of accounts across multiple industries
  • Hard worker who thinks while executing rather than over-deliberating

Bonus Points If You Have

  • High interest in new industries and technologies
  • Technical or middleware background with understanding of infra, software trends, and SaaS sales
  • Experience with business tools like SFDC, Slack, PowerPoint, Zoom
