About This Role

The Senior Office Manager at New Relic's Bangalore office leads all aspects of workplace management, blending strategic facilities oversight with employee experience. This role involves supervising a small team, managing budgets and vendors, ensuring EHS compliance, and fostering a vibrant office culture through events and hospitality. It is pivotal in creating a safe, efficient, and engaging environment for global employees and customers.

What You'll Do

  • Direct and supervise facilities activities, managing a small team of support staff including reception, security, and maintenance
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations and manage office layout, occupancy planning, seating arrangements, moves, and renovations
  • Act as primary liaison with service office providers, ensuring prompt repair work and managing security operations including badging and access control
  • Plan and execute internal events such as team-building activities, monthly lunches, all-hands catering, and holiday celebrations
  • Manage comprehensive Food & Beverage program, ensuring quality, budget adherence, and vendor performance
  • Develop, forecast, and manage operational budget for workplace and facilities while staying within limits
  • Manage vendor lifecycle including sourcing, negotiation, oversight, performance reviews, and administration contracts with POs and invoices
  • Lead Health, Safety, and Environment (EHS) initiatives, ensuring compliance, developing emergency procedures, and documenting processes

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Facility Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3-7 years of progressive experience in hotels, hybrid facilities, or office management, preferably in a fast-paced tech company
  • Strong working knowledge of building systems, technical facilities operations, and EHS compliance
  • Proven experience managing direct reports, supervising vendors/contractors, and handling operational budgets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong negotiation and interpersonal abilities

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Proficiency with facility management applications
  • Experience in co-working spaces with demonstrable track record in mid-large corporate offices
