About This Role

As a Senior Solutions Consultant in Tokyo, you will collaborate with sales and technical teams to deliver New Relic's observability solutions, creating customized presentations, demos, and proofs-of-concept to demonstrate value to customers. The role involves understanding client IT infrastructure and business needs to support the full sales cycle. Ideal for technical professionals passionate about pre-sales with cloud and monitoring experience.

What You'll Do

  • Provide consulting knowledge to customers to convey the value of New Relic solutions
  • Create and deliver customized customer presentations clearly explaining solution value tied to customer requirements
  • Build and present compelling proof-of-concept demos for customers
  • Promote New Relic solutions through event speaking, technical content creation, and training delivery
  • Collaborate with Sales, Solution Consultants, and Technical Account Managers on deal opportunities
  • Understand customer IT infrastructure and software architecture to create tailored solutions
  • Support sales teams across the full sales cycle with technical expertise

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years experience in customer-facing roles such as Pre-sales Engineer, Technical Consultant/Architect, System Administrator, or Software Developer
  • Hands-on interest in staying current with latest technologies
  • Knowledge or experience in application/infrastructure operations, monitoring, or system management design
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • English reading/writing proficiency for communication with international team members via Slack or email

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Practical experience with programming languages such as Java, PHP, .NET, Ruby, Node.js, or Python
