About This Role

As a Senior Solutions Consultant at New Relic, you will serve as the technical lead for prospects and customers, owning the technical strategy and driving revenue through deep product expertise and value-aligned demonstrations. Partnering closely with sales, you will conduct discovery workshops, create technical proofs, execute POCs, and resolve objections to achieve sales goals in your territory. This pre-sales role demands a strong blend of business acumen, technical depth in observability, and customer-facing skills to position New Relic as the premier platform.

What You'll Do

  • Develop deep expertise of New Relic products and services
  • Partner with sales for effective technical and business qualification of prospects and expansion opportunities
  • Lead value and solution discovery workshops to identify customer challenges
  • Create compelling technical proofs through demonstrations, presentations, workshops, and business value assets
  • Develop and present provocative points of view on New Relic platform potential
  • Execute proof-of-concept and pilot engagements aligned to customer business metrics
  • Identify and resolve critical business and technical issues
  • Contribute directly to achieving revenue goals in assigned territory

What We're Looking For

  • Pre-sales experience or similar customer-facing technical roles (5+ years)
  • Experience with monitoring and observability including AWS, GCP, Azure, DevOps, CI/CD, AIOps, logging, data analytics
  • Development experience in Java, .NET, Ruby, C/C++, Python, JavaScript, or React
  • Clear understanding of cloud architecture, networking, Infrastructure as Code, serverless computing
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience with open source technologies including Prometheus, Grafana, Opencensus, ELK
  • Experience working with enterprise customers in Digital Natives, ECommerce/Retail, Healthcare, Media, Telco, Financial Services, Gaming, Hospitality, Travel
  • Understanding of value-based selling in customer-facing roles
