Job Description

Description

As an Account Manager – Publishers, you will act as a trusted advisor to select publisher clients, helping them maximize the value of NielsenIQ BookScan in Australia. You’ll focus on understanding client priorities, delivering actionable insights, and creating strategies that address business challenges. Your ultimate goal is to support existing clients, strengthen partnerships, unlock growth opportunities, and achieve revenue targets. 

This is a Maternity Leave role with the timeframe expected to commence on 1st March 2026 and finish on 28th February 2027

Responsibilities 

  • Account Management: Own and grow selected publisher accounts, ensuring exceptional service, accurate data, and tailored training. 
  • Client Engagement: Build strong relationships through workshops, presentations, and strategic discussions. Negotiate contract renewals at agreed rates. 
  • Insight & Analysis: Interpret data to deliver bespoke reports and actionable recommendations. Anticipate client needs and provide compelling insights. 
  • Growth & Development: Drive revenue by promoting BookScan services, generating new leads, and managing the sales pipeline. 
  • Training & Enablement: Equip clients with the knowledge and tools to maximize the value of Book Research services. 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Education & Industry Knowledge: Degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent experience; publishing, bookselling, or market research experience desirable but not essential. 
  • Sales & Account Management: Minimum 4+ years’ experience in consultative sales; proven ability to manage key accounts and drive revenue growth. 
  • Analytical & Technical Skills: Excellent numerical and analytical skills; ability to integrate multiple data sources with market knowledge to provide actionable insights; Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; data visualization expertise; Power BI experience desirable 
  • Communication & Relationship Building: Exceptional written and verbal communication; confident presenting to senior stakeholders; skilled in workshops and client engagement. 
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Strong team player with ability to work autonomously; capable of managing multiple, time-sensitive projects 
  • Commercial Acumen & Growth Mindset: Ability to identify new opportunities, grow revenue, and support company-wide initiatives; Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outputs
