The BNL Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing and contributing to the day-to-day onsite workflow for the NL Operations team.  
They are responsible for organising, monitoring and undertaking the local flow of work through all stages of local BNL photography studio, warehouse and virtual processing functions; ensuring the department is running efficiently, meeting the required KPIs for timeliness and quality. 

The role is the key link between conducting the needs and delivery of the local Netherlands Operations, with capacity, resource and planning requirements of the Regional offsite management team. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage allocation of local resource/workload through the operations tasks to ensure all processes are completed according to internal timeliness KPI’s. 
  • Monitor operations resource (both via reporting and being a presence in the Warehouse) to ensure they are working effectively and efficiently; identify and implement any training needs, monitoring and addressing performance issues accordingly. Reporting and updating feedback to Regional Management team. 
  • Undertake all local operating processing tasks as required, including the key functions of product receipt, product ingestion, merchandising and content photography. 
  • Be the senior point of contact for onsite operations, supporting technology and facilities teams and responsible for ensuring local health & safety compliance. 
  • Handle all local external vendor management, procurement and invoicing via our internal platforms. 
  • Have a good service manner, working collaboratively to resolve issues and make the most of opportunities. Be proficient in all local tasks and processes and have a knowledge of downstream processes. 
  • Use knowledge and skills to resolve technical issues within the operations and provide guidance to associates to help increase and maintain workflow quality. Display a strong technical knowledge of Brandbank systems and processes. 
  • Support the Regional Management team and wider operations team in driving improvements and developments in service delivery. 
  • Support the Regional Management team to implement initiatives in scheduling and capacity planning across the operations function – ensuring an elastic capacity to meet varied needs of our services 
  • Ensure the smooth delivery of any project work within Operations – working closely with stakeholders to define requirements and hit required milestones and deadlines 
  • Lead by example in terms of punctuality, attitude, positivity, productivity, flexibility and knowledge 
  • Liaise with external customers, clients, and visitors – explaining the Operations functions specific to that visitor whether via presentation or guided tours. Ensure the warehouse spaces are kept in an orderly, organised and presentable state at all times. 
  • Forge and maintain good connections between local Operations, hub functions and the other departments – both in terms of own attitude and communications. 
  • Be responsible for and monitor the Health & Safety of warehouse and operations environments; ensure maintenance and certification of operational equipment, purchase any consumable items as needed, observing relevant financial procedures. 

Qualifications

Attributes: 

  • The ideal candidate should have a high level of warehouse, ecommerce or Photography operations knowledge, with previous relevant experience. 
  • Experience of coordinating or supervising within an Operations environment is beneficial. 
  • Excellent leader, with strong interpersonal skills 
  • A high-degree of IT literacy is also advantageous due to the regular use of multiple internal and industry standard apps for all aspects of the role 
  • Good communication skills – written and verbal in English and Dutch Language
  • Efficient and organized with a positive attitude 
  • Able to proactively analyse processes and identify where improvements can be made 
  • Team player and always willing to offer support 
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and multitasking abilities 
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal 
  • Attention to detail; a passion for learning and fostering change 
  • Mature attitude with the ability to cope well under pressure 
  • Able to work well with others; resolve issues and command respect 
  • Flexible and committed attitude to working and working hours
