The Technical Project Manager leads and delivers technology‑driven initiatives at the intersection of project management, software implementation, and business operations. This role is responsible for driving execution across cross‑functional teams, translating technical complexity into actionable plans, and ensuring solutions deliver measurable business value.

The ideal candidate brings strong project management discipline and technical fluency, with the ability to partner effectively with engineering, product, and business stakeholders. Financial or business acumen is a valuable plus, enabling informed decision‑making and prioritization.

Project Leadership (Must‑Have)

  • Lead small to medium‑scale technology and software implementation projects from planning through delivery.
  • Own project scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and resource coordination.
  • Apply structured delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) based on project needs.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business objectives.

Technical & Software Delivery (Must‑Have)

  • Serve as a technical partner to engineering partners, vendors, and implementation teams.
  • Understand system architectures, integrations, and data flows well enough to manage dependencies and risks.
  • Translate technical concepts and constraints into clear project plans and stakeholder‑ready updates.
  • Stay current on relevant technologies and industry best practices to support sound decision‑making.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement (Must‑Have)

  • Identify and resolve delivery, process, or technical challenges across the project lifecycle.
  • Assess trade‑offs and recommend practical, scalable solutions.
  • Proactively improve project execution practices, tools, or workflows.

Collaboration & Communication (Must‑Have)

  • Partner closely with product, engineering, finance, and operations stakeholders.
  • Communicate complex technical and project information clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Build alignment, manage expectations, and drive decisions across multiple teams.
  • Mentor and support less‑experienced project managers as appropriate.

Business & Financial Acumen (Nice‑to‑Have)

  • Understand key business drivers and how technology initiatives support them.
  • Incorporate cost, value, and ROI considerations into project planning and prioritization.
  • Maintain awareness of market context, operational impacts, and financial implications of delivery decisions.
  • Experience supporting or implementing finance‑adjacent systems (e.g., ERP, billing, reporting) is a plus.

Impact & Ownership

  • Influence the effectiveness of delivery practices within the Tech Project Management organization.
  • Operate with autonomy within broad organizational guidelines and governance.
  • Contribute to a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in technical project management or software delivery roles.
  • Strong project management fundamentals (planning, risk management, execution, reporting).
  • Solid technical understanding and ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
