日産自動車の開発部門において、総合研究所のぞき最上流に位置する。
高く広い視点で内外の変化を先取りし、日産の将来の競争優位を実現する価値を創造し、そのために必要な技術開発を推進する。競争優位を確実にするための技術企画とそれらを実行するための先行開発リソースを配分する。またステークホルダー（お客様・社会・社内）に日産の先進技術の価値を発信する役割を持つ。
＜具体的な業務内容＞
日産自動車の将来ビジネスを担う次世代の技術戦略提案に携わっていただきます。
期待される役割として、社会情勢や動向、先進技術や競合他社の戦略など将来の自動車に求められる価値や機能を様々な角度から調査・分析、機会やリスクなどを調査し、社内の各部署と連携しながら、各技術分野の現状から将来の技術ロードマップを可視化から戦略裏付け、提案する。
・市場や競合他社の動向調査、情報収集
・外部データソースおよび上記調査結果の分析/統計/可視化

自部署は、厚木市内の”日産先進技術開発センター”内に位置する。
職制含めて様々な業務経験者で構成されており、年齢層は40歳～30歳前後で比較的若いメンバーで構成されており、日々の活発なコミュニケーションで課題を共有しながら業務を推進している。
各メンバーの諸事情に合わせ、出社と在宅勤務を組み合わせられる働き方を推進している。
