The selected candidate will performs system-of-system trades, modeling, simulation and analysis to assess mission architecture alternatives for delivering a Customer mission effect, data or capability as it fits within a broader campaign. They will perform analysis-of-alternatives and synthesizes mission elements to lead to a cohesive mission solution. The selected candidate will also be responsible for development and execution of mission engineering studies and operational analyses, as well as contributing to the team's development efforts in Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM). They will also be responsible for providing guidance on implementing best practices, tools, methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of operational analyses and systems engineering processes. They will also be responsible for developing materials and presenting to internal and external stakeholders. The selected candidate will be flexible to changing priorities of the business unit and adapt as necessary to accomplish business unit objectives. This position will report to the Mission Engineering Lead within the Advanced Programs operating unit in the SDS division. They will also perform the role of section manager within the engineering homeroom. Provide technical direction within the Mission Engineering Team to ensure mission studies are executing to plan, requirements are met, and stakeholders (including customers) are satisfied with study progression. Orchestrate and prioritize team tasking to ensure they are executing to the schedule. Soliciting input from various stakeholders, synthesize data, and communicate results to various levels of leadership within the organization. Developing and translating CONOPs and related tactics into modeled simulation behaviors. Collaborating closely with cross functional teams and cross programs. Developing roadmaps and plans to support mission engineering strategic objectives. Develop new models and refine existing models for integration into AFSIM. Provide support to the Mission Engineering Lead in cost estimation, technical planning, and leadership briefings. Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with 8+ years of related experience Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance and a Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need. DoD Top Secret Security Clearance Experience with multi-resolution conceptual model development, verification, and validation processes to develop simulations to address questions on military operations Demonstrated experience modeling new capabilities into a team's modeled scenario in Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) Experience developing basis of estimates (BOE), integrated master schedules (IMS), and other artifacts for responses to government requests for information (RFI) or requests for proposal (RFP) Familiar with team collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Github, etc. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with existing and prospective stakeholders Strong communication skills to clearly present technical approaches and findings to a variety of audiences Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results Ability to lead employees and contribute to technical development across multiple work locations Primary Level Salary Range: $149,400.00 - $224,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
