Job Description

Provide technical contributions to a growing Advanced Programs team of designers and analysts for conceptual and preliminary design and technology maturation for new advanced concepts for future deterrence needs. Contribute to projects in RAM/Support/Sustainment trade studies, architecture development, and system engineering to include design influence to produce credible conceptual and preliminary weapon system designs that meet potential customers' performance, cost, schedule, and risk thresholds while informing them of the surrounding design space for capability considerations, especially capability versus life cycle cost versus technical availability date. Contribute to identification, assessment, and tracking of technology roadmaps and associated existing or developing support system capability gaps to feed technology development and conceptual design process. Demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business Operate in an advanced design environment and collaborate across the Division and Suppliers as required to accomplish the team goals Conceptualize and mature new business for growth of the Division Transition innovative solutions, technologies, and advanced concepts for US strategic deterrence interests to programs of record for product development and fielding. Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of systems and test experience, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of systems and test experience, OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 8 years of systems and test experience. Must be a US Citizen with an ACTIVE U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope (< 6 years), with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need Experience in leading a high-paced product development and test/demonstration team Multi-disciplinary engineering exposure (software, hardware, electrical) and strong ability to communicate cross functionally Experience developing and executing integrated hardware and software testing. Experience with systems engineering principles and processes Demonstrated experience in system development, integration, and test A Master's degree in a related STEM field is highly preferred. Experience with MBSE Experience with analysis/test and verification of requirements. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. Sentinelsystems Primary Level Salary Range: $147,700.00 - $221,500.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
