Associate OR Analog Modeling and Simulation Engineer

full-timePosted: Jan 2, 2026

Job Description

Superconducting electronics form the core of our technology, with a focus on energy-efficient computation using our patented superconducting digital logic technology, Reciprocal Quantum Logic (RQL). On a gate-for-gate basis, RQL consumes orders of magnitude less power than CMOS while running at significantly higher clock speeds. As an Analog Modeling and Simulation Engineer on our team, you'll work alongside physicists, circuit design engineers, and superconducting foundry engineers to develop these technologies into reality. Designing, modeling, and verifying RF, microwave, and mixed signal subsystem assemblies Support verification efforts for RF, Analog, and Digital hardware designs Collaborating with peer functions such as Mechanical, Manufacturing, Test, and IC design Engineers Deriving and trading requirements with subsystem engineers and component level designers Working directly with component level design peers developing custom integrated circuit designs to meet assembly-level requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM degree Familiarity with Cadence Virtuoso or similar IC design software Familiarity with HFSS, CST, or another fields modeling simulation tool Familiarity with a SPICE circuit simulation tool (i.e. LTSpice, WRSpice, etc) Basic understanding of RF network and/or resonator transmission line theory Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM degree and 2 years of relevant work experience required, or a Master's degree and 0 years of experience Experience with Cadence Virtuoso or similar IC design software Experience with HFSS , CST, or another fields modeling simulation tool Prior experience working with electronics, SPICE, and IC circuit design modeling tools Understanding of RF network and/or resonator transmission line theory Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph US Citizenship is required Applied work experience with EM tools for modeling (HFSS, CST, and/or ADS) Applied work experience with Cadence Virtuoso or similar IC design software Prior experience with IC chip design (modeling, simulation, layout, and/or validation) Experience with Cryogenic test stands, superconductivity and mechanical CTE Experience working with software programing languages Hands on experience utilizing test instrumentation such as power supplies, network analyzers etc.
