Troubleshoot, repair and service aircraft and engine systems. Perform maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems. All within accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations. Fabricate, install and test installation, routing, clamping and wiring harnesses. Read wiring diagrams and blueprints. You may receive additional training and be cross utilized into aircraft low observable maintenance to fulfill the daily activities and duties required to meet contract requirements. Low Observable tasks include repair of composite or metallic structures, and sanding, stripping, testing, masking and other preparation tasks. Must have a High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and 6 years of relevant experience in the Aviation and/or Aerospace industry. Must have an active DoD Top Secret (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation). Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by business needs. This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds, working overhead, and accessing small, confined spaces Must be able to pass a physical/respiratory evaluation to obtain and maintain necessary respirator clearance and compliance with all respirator fitting requirements. Must be able to meet medical requirements for worldwide travel. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport. Willingness to accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 180 days away from primary work location to support business needs. Willingness to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status (24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year), as required by business needs. Aviation and Aerospace Industry Operational experience.
