Job Description

Cutting, stripping, and insulating wires; attaching wiring and electrical systems to fixtures and accessories such as transformers, instrument panels, and switchboards using bolts, screws, or solder. Repairing, removing, and reinstalling wiring as needed, and monitoring quality in accordance with control procedures. Isolating faults, troubleshooting, and repairing system failures found during operational checks, especially after modifications and maintenance to restore aircraft to flying condition. Using aircraft ground support equipment to perform maintenance tasks. Applying comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems. Interpreting and using test equipment, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, job guides, and maintenance manuals. Reading and interpreting engineering documentation, technical manuals, and repair manuals, including understanding symbols, flags, and notes. Identifying aircraft locations by station, butt-line, and waterline as shown in engineering documentation and technical orders. Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required to safely perform job tasks. Must be willing to provide temporary support to our other CFT locations at MCAS Beaufort, MCAS Cherry Point, and NAS Lemoore should the need arise. Must be able to clearly document completed maintenance, parts tags, logs/records, parts requests, etc. Will be required to comply with all rules and regulations concerning health and safety, tool control, FOD control, HazMat handling procedures, and all training and certification requirements. Ability to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year. Aircraft Mechanic 3:

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and 4 years of applied / related experience and / or additional education. Aircraft Mechanic 4:

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and 6 years of applied / related experience and / or additional education. Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, written instructions, test procedures, etc. Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting item weighing up to 50 pounds, and working overhead. Must be able to access small, confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment. Must be able to pass a New Hire Physical prior to start. Must have the ability to pass medical/respiratory evaluation to obtain and maintain necessary respirator clearance and compliance with all respirator fitting requirements. Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company. F-35 Airframe Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) or Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative (CDQAR), Level 7 equivalent. MOU/Depot or Contract Field Team experience with complex aircraft modifications or aircraft reset experience. F-35 maintenance experience including knowledge of mission system run ups, troubleshooting, and software loading procedures. Experience and working knowledge with F-35 sustainment tools; Product Data Manager (PDM), JSF Data Library (JDL), Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS). Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
