Experience working in a process-oriented environment utilizing agile processes is also desired. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related STEM degree with 2+ years of software development experience OR Master's Degree in STEM with 6 months of software development experience Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related STEM degree with 5+ years of software development experience OR Master's Degree in STEM with 3+ years of software development experience Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming, executing in an RTOS environment (i.e., VxWorks, FreeRTOS, RT-Linux, GH Integrity) Candidate must currently have an active DoD Secret clearance at the time of application and be able and willing to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance Experience with VxWorks 6.9 and/or 7.0 Experience with MIL-STD-1553B, SpaceWire, and CAN bus implementations and structured protocols Experience in Agile process and Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, BitBucket, etc.) Experience using SIMICS, VectorCast, GoogleTest Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance Support program execution toward software delivery schedule Leverage software development best practices to right-size the needs of the effort (e.g. configuration management, unit testing). Requirements decomposition/generation Report status and metrics to program leadership Design, develop, document, integrate, test, and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, integration, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product software. Determine overall system and user needs; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops utility programs. Ensure software standards are met. Design and execute tests to ensure the software's functionality, performance, and reliability. Other duties as assigned
