Provide technical contribution and leadership for new component/tool design, requirements definition, design for manufacturing, refurbishment processes. Interact and work daily with the government customer to ensure projects expectations are met and schedules are kept. Understand USAF processes, procedures, and requirements; develop mechanical integration approaches based on required instructions. Performs functional analysis, system level analysis, detailed trade studies, and data analytics. Manage development to meet program milestones, including managing risk and opportunities. T02 - Mechanical Engineer BQs Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 2 years of relevant experience; Master's Degree with 0 years experience. - U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance. - 1 year demonstrated experience with working with external customer to meet program expectations in a timely and efficient manner - 1 year of DoD program experience that demonstrates leadership, interpersonal skills, and written/verbal communication skills - 1 year of experience performing CAD modeling with design tools such as Siemens NX or similar - 1 year of experience for Systems Engineering/Life Cycle Design, GD&T, and manufacturing T03 - Principle Mechanical Engineer BQs Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 5 years of relevant experience; Master's Degree with 3 years' experience; PhD with 1 year experience. - U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance. - 2 years demonstrated experience with working with external customer to meet program expectations in a timely and efficient manner - 1 year of ICBM, Aerospace, or DoD program experience that demonstrates leadership, interpersonal skills, and written/verbal communication skills - 2 years of experience performing CAD modeling with design tools such as Siemens NX or similar - 1 year of experience for Systems Engineering/Life Cycle Design, GD&T, and manufacturing - 2 years of experience in a project lead role - 1 year of experience mentoring/leading junior engineers Demonstrated experience using the following tools:
ANSYS, MATLAB, or equivalents Proficiency with MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) DoD Secret clearance. Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
