Perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment (AHUs, Chillers, Cooling Towers, VAVs, Heaters, Boilers, Air Compressors, Air Dryers, Coolers, Freezers). Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine necessary repair and maintenance work to prevent breakdowns. Use hand and power tools to troubleshoot, test, inspect, and repair machines and equipment. Review and follow blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. Install, service, modify, rebuild, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems in accordance with applicable building codes and safety regulations. Monitor and maintain centralized HVAC building automation systems, including pneumatic systems and direct digital control Document and maintain records for the Maintenance Department, including preventive maintenance activities and service reports. Be physically capable of working in high places from ladders, able to lift over 50 lbs, and follow exacting written and verbal instructions. Work on an on-call basis and handle responsibilities assigned by management. High School Diploma or equivalent, with 4 years of experience in HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Must own Basic HVAC Tools Must possess a Universal EPA License 608 and an Active California Driver's License. Ability to work 9/80B Schedule Experience working in one or more of the maintenance trades: machine and equipment repair, machine controls, and/or electrical. Experience working within a Central Plant. Written and Verbal Communication Skills Strong Interpersonal Skills. Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance. Strong commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience. Experience in Aerospace/Defense Industry. Strong computer, math, analytical, and planning skills. Experience with building maintenance management and tracking systems (work orders, Computer-Aided Facilities Management, Maximo). Knowledge of building automation control systems and troubleshooting I/O. Good communication skills and experience with Microsoft Outlook Experience working on HVAC equipment in a manufacturing environment that serves production machines.
