Set up and operation of 2-axis CNC lathe as well as 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mill Perform other related work assignments, special projects, and other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Supervisor or Shift Lead Proficient in material and tool selection Proficient in material and tool selection Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, prototype environment Ability to work independently Motivated to learn and grow skill set as a prototype programmer/machinist High School Diploma or GED equivalent. A minimum of a 2-year technical degree and/or a certificate in machine shop technology or equivalent work experience Experience with CNC lathe and mill operation Basic understanding of GD&T and ASME Standards Experience in following written set-up instructions and /or performing unique set-ups High School Diploma or GED equivalent. A minimum of a 2-year technical degree and/or a certificate in machine shop technology or equivalent work experience Candidate must have 4 years of experience on 3 Axis CNC machines Experience running manual machines and performing set-ups Experience reading and interpreting production specifications, production diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical specifications (English) Experience reading and interpreting blueprints Higher understanding of GD&T and ASME Standards Experience in following written set-up instructions and /or performing unique set-ups Experience in complex measurements and advanced shop math calculations relative to tolerances, dimensions, tooling, and feeds and speeds Experience with material selection and machining processes Must be a U.S. citizen Preferred experience in machining energetic materials Mastercam experience preferred CAD/CAM programming in a prototype environment Experience with OSP and/or Fanuc Controller preferred Experience fabricating component parts where set-ups are non-routine, and tolerances are difficult to acquire and maintain Exposure to CNC 4 and 5 Axis is a plus Work knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and disciplines
