Northrop Grumman Marine Systems specializes in the development, manufacture assembly and testing of propulsion, and power generation systems for naval surface ships and submarines. The Manager Machining Manufacturing 1 will supervise the factory hourly Machinists and support functions of high quality, low volume, and large fabricated structures for the Marine Propulsion and Power Generation. This position will also interface with Sr. Operations Leadership, a variety of engineering disciplines, and end customers for the products their team produces and delivers. Additional responsibilities include ensuring all members of the team are adequately trained to accomplish assigned tasks efficiently and effectively and will support the implementation of Lean Principles and Continuous improvement efforts in their assigned areas. Bachelor's Degree with minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing; OR a Master's Degree with 3 or more years of relevant work experience in manufacturing 2 or more years of experience with production planning and scheduling EVMS (Earned Value Management Systems) and/or data analysis experience Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance US Citizenship required Experience with the fundamentals of MRP. Demonstrated experience with CAM functions. Experience in Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
