This is a union role within the local 261c. Fabricate, maintain, and install piping systems. Experience with steam and plumbing systems. Must be able to clean and maintain boilers. Must have ability to troubleshoot steam, air and water systems. Must be able to read and interpret drawings and schematics to install and troubleshoot piping systems. Knowledge of sprinkler and deluge systems desirable. Candidate must be flexible in accepting additional duties as assigned by supervision. Candidate must be able to organize work area and maintain neat and proper records. Candidate must be able to analyze data and make appropriate judgments and must be able to work effectively with Plant Management. High degree of mechanical aptitude and the ability to respond appropriately in high stress situations. Must be able to pass onsite Pipefitter skills test prior to interviewing. High school diploma/GED with 5 years of relevant experience, journeyman's preferred. Must be able to work all three shift schedules, seniority will dictate which shift. It is preferred the Candidates have pipe and welding certification and must provide documentation showing all applicable experience and training with appropriate references. Essential reading skills are required.
