Assist in creating and documenting test plans, procedures, and test cases based on system requirements and design specifications. Support the integration of hardware, software, and firmware components to ensure system functionality and interoperability. Participate in executing test procedures, collecting data, and verifying that system components meet performance and design requirements. Assist in identifying, isolating, and resolving technical issues during the integration and testing phases, under guidance from senior engineers. Collect and analyze test data to validate system performance, report findings, and provide feedback for system improvements. Contribute to the preparation of detailed test reports, including observations, test configurations, and results. Help prepare and maintain test environments, setups, and instrumentation, ensuring all hardware and software resources are ready for testing. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including system engineers, design engineers, and project management, to align testing objectives with program goals. Perform basic compliance checks and ensure testing activities adhere to organizational and safety standards. Stay engaged in continuous technical learning and training to improve knowledge of integration and testing processes, tools, and methodologies. Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of experience Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope Basic knowledge of EO imaging systems ranging from the visible to LWIR spectrum Understanding in root cause and corrective action methodologies Prefers to be hands-on and work with hardware. Prefers to work independently with minimal guidance. Self-motivated and meticulous with work. Experience with free space alignment tools: autocollimators, theodolites, laser setups, optical alignment techniques BS/MS in Optical Engineering or Physics preferred Experience with missile systems and associated standards Previous experience with DOD missile defense programs Knowledge of EO systems including optical design, analysis and tolerancing, error budgets, opto-mech, and focal plane technologies in seeker applications Experience taking radiometric measurements using spectroradiometers, cameras, detectors. Experience with Zemax, CodeV, or FRED Experience setting up experimental layouts using CAD software such as Solidworks, NX, or Creo Experience integrating hardware using LabVIEW Proficiency with data analysis tools such as MATLAB or Python
