Properly evaluate and interpret engineering models, engineering GD&T intent, and calibration results. Manage daily metrology workflow to drive efficiency and optimal resource utilization. Develop solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovative thinking. Perform measurements and data post processing using portable metrology systems such as Optical Fixtures, Motion Simulators, and Analysis data using statistic software etc.. Serve as the main metrology interface between engineering and metrology technicians. Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) and 5 years of experience; Masters degree STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 3 years of experience. Experience using metrology equipment (Theodolites, Autocollimators, Laser Interferometer, Mechanical Equipment Calibrator). Experience with Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and interpreting engineer drawings and models. Experience with automated calibration system such as Surecal or Metcal. Experience performing metrology evaluations, calibration, data interpretation of Optical Equipment used in surveying equipment for Astronomic Reference north alignment. Experience with Gage Blocks to set up optical fixtures for Yaw, Pitch, and Roll for Navigation systems reference on Motion Simulators. Experience with tooling, fixtures, and precision angles levels. Experience with Mechanical Metrology standards.
