A current/active DoD Secret clearance Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) The ability to work 100% onsite with the ability to travel 10-25% to various suppliers Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices and the ability to work independently Proficiency in 3D CAD software, especially NX:
Demonstrated experience and expertise in using 3D CAD tools, focusing on NX software for detailed mechanical designs. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials. Knowledge and experience in Bill of Material (BoM) management and/or part management software suites (ISE, MPLM) Innovative thinking to improve processes and designs and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the manufacturing process. Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure program success. Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor junior engineers. Previous experience in mechanical design, including designing components and systems, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring compliance with specifications and standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and develop innovative solutions from the subcomponent level to the final customer installation phase. Effective communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams, present technical designs and solutions, and manage projects efficiently from conception to completion. Primary Level Salary Range: $98,900.00 - $148,300.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
