Job Description

Perform design and development of complex high speed digital circuit card assemblies integrating FPGAs and microprocessors through high-speed serial networks Take designs from concept through schematic capture, layout, assembly, debug, and production test Collaborate with peers and other engineering disciplines in the planning, design, and prototyping of complex digital systems Identify and implement risk reduction activities for your projects Interface with vendors and contractors Advise others through design reviews and implementation of industry best practices Work under general direction to independently determine and develop viable solutions Define system and CCA level specifications from dynamic, loose requirements Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of experience, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years of experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 1 year of experience. Experience defining interfaces with software teams for microprocessors/microcontrollers Ability to solder and modify prototypes to prove a working design Ability to create test plans and assembly instructions Candidate must be a US Citizen Clearance:

Ability to obtain and maintain the necessary level of US Government security clearance per customer requirements Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experience, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 6 years of experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 4 years of experience. Full custom circuit card design cycle (concept through production) experience involving FPGAs, DDR memory, high speed serdes, and microprocessors Experience defining interfaces with software teams for microprocessors/microcontrollers Hands on use of laboratory test equipment such as: oscilloscopes, function generators, DMM, BERT scopes, network analyzers and signal analyzers Ability to solder and modify prototypes to prove a working design Ability to create test plans and assembly instructions Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills Candidate must be a US Citizen Clearance:

Ability to obtain and maintain the necessary level of US Government security clearance per customer requirements Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Schematic capture and layout using Mentor Graphics Xpedition tools High speed digital signal integrity simulation using Hyperlynx, HFSS, or ADS Experience developing embedded software and software using C, C++ Experience RTL development using SystemVerilog Familiarity with AMD FPGAs and design tools Project leadership
