Perform design of one or more moderately complex or portions of structural components and functional systems of company products. Analyze requirements for materials, structural component, or functional systems. Develop original ideas and elaborate on preliminary design concepts. Evaluate completed design with supervisor and other technical groups and make modification necessary to achieve the most ideal design. Requires a STEM degree. A Bachelors with at least 2 years of experience or a Masters degree with 0 or more years of experience. Degrees in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering preferred. Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance which requires US Citizenship as a pre-requisite Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, presentation and critical thinking skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point) Working knowledge of computer aided design (CAD) software Knowledge of ASME Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Current active Security Clearance Knowledge of general machine shop fabrication processes, additive manufacture experience desirable Understanding of design for assembly / design for manufacturing (DFA/DFM) Requires a STEM degree. A Bachelors with at least 5 years of experience or a Masters degree with at least 3 years of experience. Degrees in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering preferred. Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance which requires US Citizenship as a pre-requisite Proficiency with Siemens NX Knowledge of ASME Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Experience with mechanical design of propulsion or fluid systems Current active Security Clearance
