Senior Principal Supplier Management Systems Engineer

Job Description

As a member of a dedicated Supplier Management Team (SMT), you'll provide technical leadership for the team. In addition, you'll manage risk and opportunity related to supplied parts and their integration into the segment or system, develop statements of work and specifications, evaluate supplier capabilities with respect to segment and system requirements, perform regular technical reviews, and participate in negotiations as required. You'll be working on an exceptionally complex system that blends both mature and emerging technologies giving you the opportunity to shape the future of mission‑critical solutions. This position will serve on-site in the greater Baltimore, MD area. This position is contingent upon acquiring and maintaining the necessary US Government security clearance per customers' requirements. Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 6 years of experience with Master's degree, OR 4 years of experience with PhD Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and working in cross-functional teams Knowledge of systems engineering including participation in the development of an Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen Current Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph prior to start Current active DoD TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance Degree or professional experience in Hardware or Digital Engineering OR Electromechanical or Electrical Engineering Use of engineering management tools, such as DOORS or Cameo Previous experience working in a Supplier Management Team (SMT) Familiarity with EVMS with experience managing budget and schedule as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) Experience drafting Statements of Work and developing and managing schedules Familiarity with project and task management tools:

Jira, Confluence Primary Level Salary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
