Develop and implement systems engineering processes to ensure compliance with nuclear surety standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, analyze, and validate systems that meet nuclear surety requirements. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the safety and security of nuclear systems. Provide technical guidance and support throughout the product lifecycle, from development to system deployment. Prepare and present technical reports and documentation to stakeholders and customers. Use model based engineering tools on a navigation system to pioneer a new way to evaluate and analyze modern design. Provide systems engineering expertise to the design, integration, and testing of a next generation ICBM navigation system Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, cost, risk, supportability, and analysis for mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems. Ensure system technical compliance with the program Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW) and system requirements BS degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering, OR a MS degree and 6 years OR a Ph.D. and 4 years Knowledge of nuclear surety principles, standards, and regulations Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical concepts clearly Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Clearance Ability to work onsite full-time in Woodland Hills, California Master's degree or PhD in STEM or technical management Able to drive execution of a Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW) and work with a cross-functional team Experience with the following tools:
DOORs, Cameo, TeamCenter, NX, Capital, Confluence Over 4 years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on nuclear surety analyses/test and verification of requirements Experience working with Nuclear Surety Requirements and the Nuclear Certification process (e.g. AFI 63-125, AFMAN 91-118/91-119/31-108, DODM 5210.41, AFI 91-101) Knowledge of Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) Previous program milestone execution experience, including but not limited to Systems Requirements Review, System Functional Review, Preliminary Design Review. Active DoD Secret Clearance Experience and working knowledge of Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs) or the Sentinel program.
