The Deputy Program Manager will work closely with program team leadership and team members to execute design, procurement, and manufacturing activities at Propulsion Systems. This position includes interfacing with VSET (Value Stream Element Team) leads and shares accountability for safety, quality, schedule, cost and technical execution. Program Execution Execute programs successfully by managing risk, safety, quality, schedule, technology and cost Continuously drive for results and challenge the status quo Have the capacity to understand people issues impacting the business Have proven ability to influence others Strategic thinking to successfully complete the program to the requirements, within cost and on-time Recognize and resolve issues impacting the program Support performance to the IMS and critical milestones Ensure that the programs/projects are on schedule to the program milestones Manage budgets and update monthly performance review for program leadership Work with VSET and other Nozzle team members to meet program cost goals Assist in contract negotiations, endorse final price and contract terms and help resolve contract issues as needed Facilitate generation of contract change estimates and proposals in response to customer and program needs Execute successfully to develop Propulsion System's image of delivering on-time and on-cost Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or Business with 8 years' related experience in Program/Project Management or a leadership role supporting U.S. Government contracts and/or customers; OR a master's degree with 6 years' experience; OR 4 years' experience with PhD. Five (5) plus years' experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either a Project Lead, Integrated Program Lead (IPT) or Cost Account Manager (CAM) Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams to achieve single objective Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance US Citizenship is required Thorough knowledge of Nozzle design, development, and manufacturing Relevant experience at various levels of responsibility Successfully managed $10M - $50M in sales annually Active DoD Secret clearance
