Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management Integration of IP based devices into networks architecture. Bachelor's degree in Science with 2 years of experience or a Master's degree with 0 years of experience. Ability to install software packages and patches Ability to effectively communicate issues and help provide solutions across teams / sites. Ability to troubleshoot system using built in OS functionality and system logs Perform OS tuning, understand networking, perform user management, perform security hardening, and review OS logs as needed and perform system backups Experience with scripting, particularly in shell scripting. Any experience with SH and CSH variants, Python, or PowerShell would be helpful Experience with the administration and operations of lab or test environments Computer system performance analysis.
