Responsible for overseeing and coordinating civil/structural systems design for the Sentinel infrastructure and facilities. Participate in project design/model reviews. Support the delivery of facility design Technical Data Packages, Issue-for-Construction (IFC) packages, as-built TDPs, PDPs, interface models, and additional design artifacts. Ensures design product quality by reviewing civil/structural designs and validating that current standards are applied. Supporting structured trade studies to evaluate alternative design solutions to resolve technical issues Developing and presenting design change requests, coordinating with impacted internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring configuration control of the technical baseline. Developing and maturing Civil/Structural facility designs that meet Weapon System requirements, UFC, MIL-STD, and other applicable codes and regulations. Engineer:
Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with a minimum of 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in STEM with 0 years of related experience Principal Engineer:
Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in STEM with 3 years of related experience, or a PHD Degree in STEM with 0 years of experience Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Programs (SAP) clearance Must be proficient with Microsoft Office tools - PowerPoint, Excel, Word Minimum of 1 years of experience in one or more of the following:
Civil/Structural, Mechanical, electrical design on MILCON or major infrastructure/building projects Thorough knowledge of engineering deliverables, such as drawings and specifications. Working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, Power Point, and Engineering Scheduling tools and applications, and be able to use the Internet as an information gathering and communications tool. Professional Engineering (PE) or Structural Engineering (SE) License with any state Knowledge of one or more of the following:
American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), American Concrete Institute (ACI), International Building Code (IBC) Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and MIL-STD codes and standards. Knowledge of construction materials and construction details and techniques. Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly and succinctly communicate complex concepts to both Government and corporate leadership Proficiency with Revit, Siemens NX and Teamcenter Active DoD Secret security clearance with the most recent investigation completed in the last 5 years.
