Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Project Execution. Interfacing directly with Control Account Managers (CAMs), Work Package Leads (WPLs), and other stakeholders as needed to collect the supplemental information required to provide thorough variance explanations, change rationales, and other outputs. Ensure IPT compliance with program processes and procedures and implement improvements. Generating Change Control Board packages and Budget Change Requests in coordination with CAMs and WPLs and support briefings to the appropriate review boards. Maintaining consistency and high quality of project management work products. Team building. Working knowledge of Project Management principles. Experience with requirements development and/or verification planning. Ability to establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, peers, and customers. Experience in briefing executive leadership. Ability to obtain Control Account Manager (CAM) certification. Capable of working with minimal direction, independently determines and develops technical objectives of assignments, and presents work upon completion for high level review. Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities.
