Responsible for supplier quality risk management - implementing proactive supplier performance management strategy. Develops and implements supplier quality evaluation and control systems. Assures supplier process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance. Interfaces directly with supplier personnel and must be knowledgeable in and capable of assessing supplier manufacturing processes and procedures. Conducts product and process verification activities, monitors supplier quality performance, and drives root cause corrective action (RCCA) for supplier quality issues. Supports the maintenance of the approved supplier list and periodically reviews performance to determine whether suppliers should remain on the approved list. Manages supplier requests for waivers, deviations, and requirement changes. Keeps management apprised of supplier performance, quality status, and risks. Coordinates and oversees Supplier Quality plan implementation through all program phases. Actively engages in supplier evaluation, qualification, and selection as part of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP) and as new procurements are required on existing programs. Reviews program contracts and interfaces with Program Quality Engineering to assure proper requirements flow down to suppliers Manages implementation of Supplier Quality processes, including supplier approval activities, source selection evaluations, supplier classification designation (Critical, Key and Standard), development and execution of supplier quality risk assessments and mitigation plans, and supplier quality requirements development and flow-downs. Reports on supplier performance to site stakeholders through recurring Material Corrective Action Board (MATCAB) meetings Drives affordability through monitoring of budget and spend. Travels to suppliers as-required to achieve positive outcomes Fosters a collaborative culture that sustains momentum around engagement, problem solving, and continuous improvement. Serves as a strong voice for ‘Quality' and a role model for NG Values Bachelor's Degree in an STEM or related discipline with 8+ years of relevant work experience in disciplines such as quality, supply chain, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or materials engineering OR Masters Degree in a STEM or related discipline with 6+ years of relevant work experience in disciplines such as quality, supply chain, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or materials engineering Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance. US Citizenship Required. Experience with ISO 9001 / AS9100 Quality Management System certification process Bachelor's Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering Master's Degree in an engineering field Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and/or Quality Auditor (CQA) Experience facilitating Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities Experience auditing manufacturing processes and/or quality management systems Defense industry experience, including interfacing with suppliers Experience in a quality, supplier quality, or manufacturing role SAP Business System experience Solid written and verbal technical communication skills Currently active DoD SECRET clearance, or higher
