The Energetics Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for focusing on developing, establishing and maintaining Mission Assurance policies and procedures, processes and controls thereby ensuring both performance and quality of manufactured products conform to established company, international (AS9100), and governmental requirements, as well as lasting customer satisfaction. This role will support the Nozzle Value Stream. Understand the design intent, failure modes, requirements and specifications of the product as well as the manufacturing processes, process controls, statistics, SPC, and quality inspections. Identify opportunities and develop/execute plans to take promoting/capitalizing actions. Provide expertise and guidance in interpreting governmental regulations, agency guidelines and internal policies/procedures Assure compliance and will serve as liaison between Promontory Safety and Mission Assurance (S&MA) and various other organizations including some government agencies. Work directly with operating entities to ensure that inspections, statistical process control analyses, and audits are conducted on a continuing basis as specified to enforce requirements, meet specifications, and improve processing. Subject matter expert in multiple investigative tools and approaches and develop/use systemic tools/approaches to increase safety, quality, and reliability of products. 12 Years with Bachelors in STEM; 10 Years with Masters; 8 Years with PhD. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in team environments. Proven technical aptitude and ability to solve complex technical issues and provide solutions that are highly innovative. Proven ability to multi-task (i.e. manage several projects at one time). Proven ability to self-initiate assignments and determine and pursue courses of action. Excellent Communication Skills (both written and verbal). Serve as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs. Act as an advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications. Expert and strong proactive/collaborative approach to Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and continuous improvement.
