Job Description

Configuring and managing Linux and Windows operating systems, including:

Implementing operating system improvements to enhance reliability and performance Installing software Applying and enforcing security policies through Windows Group Policy and automation tools such as:

Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience may be consideration as an alternative to a degree Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, CISSP, CASP, etc.) at the time of application, which is required to start. The candidate is responsible for maintaining their DoD 8140 certification throughout the entire contract period Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with the eligibility to be cleared at SCI Willingness to travel up to 10% for business needs Experience with system administration on Windows Server and Linux operating systems Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues through phone, IM/Chat, and other collaborative methods Familiarity with a scripting language like PowerShell, Bash, or Python, and/or automation tools such as Ansible Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills Experience with using a help desk ticketing system, such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or Atlassian JIRA, to document work details and track information for future reference Ability to develop and follow documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOP), for complex technical solutions and procedures using enterprise tools such as Atlassian Confluence Experience supporting users in an enterprise system, showcasing your ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems and deliver effective solutions Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules Previous experience with a Hyperconverged on-premises cloud platform like Nutanix or VMware
