Job Description

Develop tooling concepts and support equipment for new and existing programs Design tooling and equipment, including engineering drawings, inspection requirements, and verification plans Perform stress analysis to ensure mechanically sound designs per Northrop Grumman requirements Work closely with Tool Designers to create and finalize drawings Review designs for manufacturability, fit, form, and function Manage tooling projects, including cost, schedule, procurement, and fabrication Interface with internal customers and design review teams to ensure requirements are met Support vendors during fabrication and inspect fabricated tooling for drawing compliance Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and process engineering to support program quality, delivery, and cost objectives Support continuous improvement initiatives and proactive problem-solving Safety, Process, and Compliance Design safe and efficient tooling layouts and manufacturing processes Identify and mitigate safety risks in accordance with HOPs (Hazards Operation Standard) Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including DOD 4145.26 ATF Work closely with Hazards Analysis and Cross-Functional Engineering teams Incorporate safety interlocks, standardization, and remote operations into tooling processes Support investigations related to root cause analysis, non-conformances, and process failures As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
