Coordinate daily activities, resolve complex problems, and establish priorities for an individual control center. Assist program personnel in the interpretation of Controlled Information Management directives and procedures. Facilitate the proper receipt, recording, filing and issuance of classified material through assigned security control stations. Resolve complex problems associated with Information Management and Control System policy and procedures. Coordinate daily activities, resolve complex problems, and establish priorities for an individual Control Center, and ensure strict compliance with establish government and internal procedures for the receipt, cataloging, filing, classification marking, reproduction and special handling requirements associated with the Information Management & Control System. Perform audit trail procedures and maintain audit records of all released, received, transmitted, filed, or otherwise distributed controlled material for an individual Control Center. Following stringent government and internal procedures, ensure that all controlled information is properly prepared for forwarding to the authorized recipient. Maintain audit trail and ensure that all communications equipment and material are continually stored, safeguarded, and accounted for in accordance with strict government procedures and regulations. Prepare, log, and assign correct security classification designators and communications control and/or check numbers to all incoming/outgoing telecommunications or facsimiles. Verify that all sending and receiving stations are authorized to communicate at the appropriate security level and have the classification required. Execute proper disposition of incoming/outgoing telecommunications and facsimiles, ensuring that intended recipients are authorized to receive such material. Resolve discrepancies pertaining to the required Controlled Information records identified during internal and external audits. Recommend alternate methods and procedures to facilitate the required control of classified information/material. Administer standardized security briefings and debriefings, such as those related to NATO, CNWIDI, etc. Assist higher coded personnel in the modification/updating of the Security Information Management System database. Perform accurate data entry functions to the Controlled Information database as required. Perform various other Controlled Information monitoring assignments within the scope of this position description as required. Education:
High school/commercial school graduate or equivalent. Demonstrated understanding of security database management systems. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel Office business tools. Successfully complete one (1) Defense Security Service (DSS) independent study course. Candidate for this position must possess a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. This position may require periodic extensive background investigations and government sponsored industrial polygraph examination.
